Sunset inn - currently 51 guest rooms on the property. I started to come to Kenora due to being on maternity leave and my dad had purchased the Travelodge and then Days Inn. He asked me to fill in and cover some shifts at front desk, restaurant and lounge. I did help with Christmas banquets and then was asked to be General Manager in 2004 at Days Inn. I quickly learned all aspects of the business and now own the hotel 💯 as my dad retired over 10 years ago.

I now own and manage the Sunset Inn as of July 6, 2023!

  1. Q: What do you love most about your accommodation? A: What I love most about hotel is my staff
  2. Q: What do you love most about Kenora? (such as a park, trail, lake, the people, food, restaurant, general location of Kenora, etc.) A: There are quite a few of us who have been here more than 15 years…. Kenora is amazing as it is surrounded by water in the summer and winter is ice roads.
  3. Q: What is your favourite music? (artist, album, genre, era, etc.) A: I love country music and rock music from the 70’s and 80’s 90’s…
  4. Q: Something you would recommend all tourists visit while staying in Kenora? A: Kenora has beautiful hiking trail that I encourage tourists to see or to get out on the lake! The MS Kenora is a must!
  5. Q: Favourite movie? A: Grease is one of my favourites!
